2. Use faction points to get zaishen keys. Sell them. 3. Get Luxon/Kurzick points, get jade/amber for armour. 4. On youtube there are several posters with great guides. In particular look at http://www.youtube.com/user/LiquidSolenoid. He does walkthroughs and shows you how to complete mission in HM. |

2. Just to obtain money? There is no other use for the keys? If so - why would people buy them? 3. Again - have not gotten that far in Factions yet. 4. Thank you. |

Bookmark both the Official Wiki and Unofficial Wiki. And get ready for some reading. Getting help from guilds and other players (and forums) is about 10% of learning this game. Playing the game is another 20%. The other 70% of learning GW is reading the wiki(s). Quote:
PvP: Someone earlier mentioned AB (Alliance Battles), but if you suck you may have a hard time keeping a group. Jade Quarry or Fort Aspenwood would probably be easier places to hide among the chaos. You can create a PvP-only character and access JQ/FA by talking to the Luxon or Kurzick NPCs in Great temple of Balthazar. And if going for armor materials, I suggest Kurzick for Amber. Even if you want Luxon armor, amber is worth more than jade at the trader, so you can often make a profit by selling your earned amber and buying jade. 2. Zaishen Keys open the Zaishen Chest, which contributes points to your Zaishen Supporter track. It qualifies as a PvP statue in your HoM, which awards unique points. Since your HoM goals are so low, I also suggest skipping this and selling the keys for cash. |

Now, onto the keys. Is is viable to get the PvP-title by getting these keys? How many would I need to actually reach the rank where I can make it a monument in the halls? Are we talking a hundred? A thousand? |

for more information about the keys try this link: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Zaishen_rank
you will need to get 200 keys to get a high enough rank to get the pvp title/hom statue. keys are also good for getting gold weapons from the chest (you will also get things like tomes, alcohol, sweets, lockpicks, tonics....) you can play gw relatively easily without the wikis--however, since you have the goal of getting the hom points; the wiki will give information about the titles that you will need for said. Many of us have been playing for years (and the wikis werent so good back in the day--the official wasnt even around!).....and have learned from playing as well as asking questions here, and using the wikis. as others have suggested, you should find a nice guild that is willing to help you finish the campaigns and such--this will help you a lot towards your goals.

200 keys. Hmm.... 5k each. That's 1000k. I wonder if I can make that and get the rank that way - considering how badly I suck at PvP.
I can also try to get killed in PvP a bit and then just hand the keys over from the PvP-char to the PvE-char. I also have some globs of e. I am sure I can trade those to someone willing to give me keys. |

2. I don't know how long you've been playing, but I've been playing for a little over a year. I also only have 15/50 points. My goal though is to play the game, to learn it, to understand it. Even though I intend to buy GW2, I'm not dying to leave this game. I really enjoy and love it, and I will continue to play it even after GW2 comes out. Which is why I'm not in a hurry to finish my HOM. I spend a lot of time (about 2 hours a day, these days) searching on this forum for ideas on how to better play my main character (a warrior), how to use efficiently and effectively my heroes, how to make builds, etc.. That's the fun part. That's how you learn things... Last edited by Iceblue; Sep 14, 2011 at 03:20 PM // 15:20.. Reason: correcting spelling |

Zkeys are the most timeefficient pvp rank to get. However it's far from the cheapest hompoints. ~1000k for 3 points isn't really worth it unless you have done all the other like obtaining the black moa and most of the hero armor. The point is that with 1000k you could fill out the whole monument of valor which is 8 points, and that isn't the most economical way of spending gold for hompoints. Since you seem to have problems with completing the storyline I think you need to invest some time into looking over you heroes and their builds. I am not suggesting that you should run a build specifically as pvx says, but do steal ideas from existing good working builds. Make sure to use necromancers (their minions are awesome along with death nova), mesmers (panic and ineptitude are awesome elite crowdcontroll skills), and ritualists (their spirits add so much damage) ~removed links because they were to an old site and I didn't pay attention... go here instead: http://www.gwpvx.com/PvX_wiki I just realised that I may have failed to mention the point with all these hero builds... The point is that when you have 7 good hero builds then you have a team which actually can do some work. You are just 1/8 of your team (not really true since you're the player, but you get the point). In order to get good builds you have to unlock their skills. The easiest way to do that is by doing zaishen elite and use the faction to unlock skills from a priest of balthazar. Last edited by Kendil; Sep 15, 2011 at 02:51 PM // 14:51.. |

Alternatively, you can visit Hero Skill Trainers that will teach both you and your heroes' a skill (from a limited list) for only 1 Hero Skill Point.

Official Wiki Non-Official Wiki PvX (for builds) The non-official wiki used to be hosted at wikia but they never provided the benefits they promised and forced certain layout changes (which is yet another broken promise). The community + content moved over to the new site (linked above). Wikia is now a home for trolls and such. It's unreliable and should not be used.

I say beat factions and charm the imperial phoenix (1 point for phoenix and 1 more statue in "Honor"), then get rank 4 in luxon and kurzick (doing both adds 2 more statues to honor, which combined with what you have + statue for beating factions gives full display, worth 3 more points)

As a returning player all this information has been helpful to me too. I find I'm getting very confused and feeling very noobish!
I thought this topic would be a good place to ask: Any advice on getting hero armor for my EoTN heros, I end up dying alot. My Rit is the only one to make it that far. Thanks! -Lady Lunabelle |

I am sorry if I am coming across in a weird way.
I am enjoying this game, but i am a casual player, and don't have the time to delve into the intricacies of metabuilds, the deep involvement in the wiki and so on. My goal is to have a bit of fun, but without direction I am lost. The HoM provides that direction, as it gives me something to strive for, a way to motivate myself into challenges to see more of this great game. All of your help so far has been wonderful, and I am deeply thankful, and it is providing me with a lot of the stuff I really needed. |

Personally I don't use that, but something quite similar that I've come up with myself by testing and tweaking. @Starlet, Glint's challenge would be the easiest. Just do it on nm and it should be no problem with decent heroes. I did it with my ele with discord necros, a RoJ monk ss rit a mesmer and something more. |

No you don't... look in your quest log. You should have the quests to pick up those heroes in there. Also note, that some EotN heros you can only get if you fight them in the The Norn Fighting Tournament.
